“If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge. Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time. It’s very important to be aware of them every time they come up.”
– Deepak Chopra

“When you understand ‘whatever happens is justice’ you will solve all your worldly problems.”
– Gnani Purush, Shri Dada Bhagwan

The intention with which you conduct your actions, be they through thought, speech or physical expression, determines the vibrations your soul emits, and therefore the karmic particles that you attract towards your soul.

When the soul is ‘moist’ due to the passions it harbours (caused by desire / attraction and hatred / aversion), then karma sticks to the soul.

When these specific karmic particles shed from your soul at their own pre-determined time, this brings rise to a specific situation occuring in your life. Simply put – ‘something happens’. The new situation could be your mum cooking you your favourite meal that evening, or your driver-side tyre exploding the very moment that you’re rushing to an important meeting.

When you realise that a situation occuring in your life, whether pleasant or painful, is just your karma coming to fruition, then you no longer need to be a ‘victim’ to external events. One path that we often seem to take is that a situation occurs in your life, you respond to it, that leads to karma being bound to your soul, that karma comes to fruition at a certain point in time, which leads to another situation occurring in your life. See, whatever happens is justice – your previous actions have always led to it – that’s all.

Now you can take COMPLETE responsibility for your quality of response to any given situation. How does that feel to you? Is the remote control back in your own hands yet?

“A good friendship is like a river when it hits the rocks. It always flows together again.”
– Anonymous

That’s fair enough about any two people who come back together again after rocky moments in their friendship. However, what about friendship with yourself? What happens when you go through a rocky patch in your life? Do you instantly start to blame yourself and attract a lot of grief your way? Or do you allow yourself to become your own best friend and pick yourself up?

Recognise that all things around you are momentary, and you’ll constantly be immersed in pleasant situations as well as painful moments. That’s just how it is in our lives right here right now. All things in our material world change. Situations will come and go, and that’s ok. Hold your head up high, whilst bowing down to your inner wisdom, so that you can search deep within to recognise the ever-changing, and therefore that which stays permanently true.
