This in interesting.
Usually I wouldn’t think about it. I’d just accept it.
However, I was in the pound shop yesterday and a lady was waiting by the till for quite a while. When it was nearly my turn to be served, she spoke to cashier and explained that she told her she’d purchased a specific item four times but the cashier had only charged her thrice. She then gave her a pound and said I’m not going to hell for £1.
Through the fear of going to hell or her desire to avoid going there, she checked the receipt, realised the mistake, waited, told the cashier and then paid the extra amount.
Is fear as black and white as Yoda makes out?
