Of course this is the case with many of our relationships isn’t it?
What’s the saying?
You don’t know what you have until you’ve lost it?
I guess from a Jain perspective we need to try and be detached. It is very difficult.
Perhaps it is less complex when you know what you had in the first place. However, if you didn’t; then it the grief can become entangled with regret and one can end up pondering about the lack of appreciation, thoughts, love and so on.
Nothing is black and white.
Practise isn’t as easy as reading or understanding the theory
